Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in New York State
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Ability to develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual student needs
• Excellent communication skills for managing relationships with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and motivating therapy environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments for students as part of multi-disciplinary teams
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized therapy interventions to support functional mobility and participation in educational activities
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings as required
• Collaborate closely with special education staff, teachers, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into the school day
• Provide education and resources for school personnel regarding positioning, mobility, and adaptive equipment
• Support students with a variety of needs, fostering independence and participation in school activities
