Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you’ll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoDevelop and lead a Safety Culture that is consistent with CMC standardsLead and manage the melting and refining operations, optimizing productivity and ensuring seamless production processesOversee the maintenance and repair of EAF and LF equipment, minimizing downtime and disruptionsCoordinate with Casting area and other departments to minimize downtime and maximize production of quality productsDevelop and lead a culture of continuous improvement through operator training, process standardization, and technology improvementsIdentify opportunities, collaborate and implement changes to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costMaintain CMC's quality standards, while utilizing all necessary safety measures, plant equipment, and other toolsWhat You'll NeedMinimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a steel manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations within the steel industryCritical thinking, strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detailStrong customer service skills and leadership skills including the ability to interact with personnel, build strong relationships at all levels and understand business imperativesStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spacesYour EducationBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field of study requiredWe are CMC, a Fortune 500 company at the leading edge of our industry.
