Plant Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance MechanicS&W Ready Mix is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to work in the Wilmington region. This is an hourly position reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.The primary responsibility of this position is to repair and maintain machinery, both electronic and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and other plant and mobile equipment related to our concrete plants and facilities.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Analyzes required work orders and sketches in order to troubleshoot, repair and install equipmentMake plant repairs and perform maintenance in a timely manner to ensure continuous operationsPerform daily preventative maintenance inspections, repairs, and schedulingFollow all applicable safety regulations and policiesIdentify multiple projects and prioritize work to maximize plant productivityCommunicate clearly and effectively at various levels to obtain and provide information needed to accomplish goalsPerform maintenance and repair of various types of plant equipment across various plant locationsMaximize equipment availability through the use of efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programsQualificationsExperience:High school diploma or equivalentRelated experience and/or training in hydraulic systems, electrical, air conditioning, and pneumaticsPrevious experience doing preventative maintenance inspections and schedulingPrevious welding, fabrication, and heavy equipment operation experienceStrong mechanical skills and the ability to problem solveReady-mix industry knowledge or related industry a plusDedication to maintain the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the jobKnowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair, certification preferredMust provide own toolsWorking Environment:Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all timesWillingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as requiredWorking outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtimeAbility to pass pre-employment processes including criminal background check, physical and drug screenTravel between sites as needed, travel as much as 100% of the timeTitan America LLC offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, matching 401K, paid vacation and holidays).Titan America is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) / Affirmative Action employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
