Details Work in the Main Operating Room of a Level I trauma academic medical center 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics Nursing team is trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures Day shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, working Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday Floating required within scope to meet facility needs and between like units or sister facilities No on-call requirements Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required BLS certification (AHA) required Radiation badge required (provided by agency) 2 years of OR experience strongly preferred Scrub experience strongly preferred Level I trauma center experience Driver's license and SSN required for consideration Additional Information Nursing team consists of 75% RNs and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists Magnet-designated, nurse-driven department utilizing cutting-edge surgical technology Scrubs provided Facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 staffed beds Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval based on unit needs First-time travelers may be considered Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local; MUSC prioritizes non-local candidates During hurricane season (June through November, peaking August-September), all staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams American Traveler Job ID P-749206.
