Saturday and Sunday Short Order Cook needed for very popular bar in the historic Cass Corridor of Detroit.
The shifts are 11:30am-7pm both days. Experience a must, this job is not for a newbie. Very fast paced and demanding, the job requires someone who can cook multiple burgers to various temps at once (rare, medium-rare, medium, medium-well, well done), all while assembling various sandwiches and working the fryer while at the same time delivering the food to the tables in the dining room. It is also the cooks responsibility to help bus tables and load and unload the dishwasher. There is also food preparation to be done in between all of the other tasks.
Because of these duties, the cook will be tipped out a percentage of the food sales in cash for every shift.
If you can't be on your feet moving at a very fast pace for 7-8 hours at a time, don't bother applying for this job. Applications without resume attached will be disregarded.
