About the Position As an Assistant Store Manager at Bath & Body Works, you will partner with the Store Manager to develop associates, deliver customer experiences, and drive business growth. Responsibilities Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent. Set and reinforce clear performance expectations, results goals, and accountability. Act as manager on duty as delegated, addressing customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues. Partner with the sales leadership team to execute action plans that improve results. Implement floorset direction to optimize the business and bring the product story to life. Perform opening and closing routines, including bank deposits, receipt of shipment, and interpretation of company directives. Set the direction and goals for the day/shift when associates arrive for work. Provide individual and team performance feedback and recommendations. Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage. Lead exceptional in‑store customer experiences through selling behaviors rooted in Our Values and product knowledge. Create genuine connections with customers through uncovering needs, sharing product information, demoing products, and making personalized recommendations. Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and the customer experience. Reinforce selling expectations, performance, results, and accountability with all associates. Maintain physical activity requirements, including climbing ladders, lifting, reaching, bending, and kneeling; able to lift 10 lb consistently and up to 50 lb. Consistently provide a safe, clean, and engaging experience by adhering to all safety standards and expectations. Maintain our values, policies, and procedures. Qualifications Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast‑paced environment. Prior manager role, preferably in retail. Thrives in a customer‑first retail environment. Ability to foster a customer‑focused selling culture. Effective communication skills and openness to feedback. Ability to provide in‑the‑moment coaching to associates. Ability to de‑escalate store and customer situations effectively. Must be available for peak days and times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Education High school diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience.
