Client Billing Representative

JOB SUMMARY: The Client Bill Representative is responsible for overseeing client billing functions within PathGroup revenue cycle for assigned accounts. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of client invoices, payment posting, and account reconciliation processes. The Senior Client Bill Specialist serves as a subject matter expert for client billing workflows, assists with escalated client issues, and supports process optimization to improve cash flow and client satisfaction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure accurate and timely creation of client account and billing rules in the billing system for new and updated client bill agreements.
- Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service to all internal and external clients.
- Analyze and resolve client invoice related concerns in a timely manner.
- Monitor client aging and drive collection activities for past-due accounts and provide escalation support to management as needed.
- Research and lead resolution pertaining to client bill questions, billing discrepancies, pricing variances, and account disputes in collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Review and reconcile client accounts, ensuring all adjustments, credits, and payments are accurately applied.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of improvements to billing policies, workflows, and system configurations.
- Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data.
- Must be familiar with and abide by the Corporate Compliance Program and all Corporate policies, including the Privacy and Security policies.
- Work with other departments within PathGroup and subsidiaries.

- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 5 years of experience in client billing, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle management, preferably in a laboratory setting.
- Proficiency with billing software and MS Office, specifically Excel.
- Advanced understanding of laboratory billing practices, test pricing structures, and client contractual terms.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance.
