Local contract -Float to public schools in Loudoun County, VA

Asap start!

Hybrid Schedule- Full-time position(40 hours/week). The position requires providing care to a middle school female student 4 hours/ week in the student's home and in LCPS public school classrroom settings. Care hours will gradually increase over time. The goal is for the nurse to accompany the student to a private day school full day, M-F.

Position Details:

• RN- required; must be female. Parent requested due to the student's personal hygiene care.

• Full-time position(40 hours/week). The position requires providing care to a middle school female student 4 hours/ week in the student's home. Care hours will gradually increase over time. The goal is for the nurse to accompany the student to a private day school full day, M-F.

• Student resides in Ashburn.

• Seizure monitoring, seizure response, and the administration of seizure rescue medication are required.

• Inpatient peds psych nursing, managing autism behaviors and PTSD triggers, preferred, not required.

• When not providing home-based nursing care, the RN will float out to area schools to add support as a 1:1 nurse sub or assist in the health office.

• Riding the bus will eventually be a requirement once private school placement is secured.

• LCPS will review resumes and conduct interviews of potential candidates. LCPS will make the final selection for the position.

• If at any time the 1:1 nurse is not available, LCPS will be responsible for securing a substitute, not the hiring agency.

• Student-specific training will be conducted by LCPS-Student Health Services.

• Position to start as soon as filled.
