Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Columbus, OH. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. Provide intensive respiratory care, patient transport, education, ventilator management, diagnostic testing, and support for procedures within the scope of professional licensure and facility policy.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current Ohio state license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum one year experience as an RRT, including experience with mechanical ventilation and airway management.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience performing arterial puncture, oximetry, capnography, 12-lead EKG, and pulmonary function testing.
• Experience assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy, chest tube and tracheostomy care.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting and with invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Night 3x12.
• Float requirement: May be required to float to other facilities as needed.

You will contribute to high-quality respiratory care by performing assessments, delivering physician-prescribed treatments, monitoring ventilatory status, participating in procedures, and documenting patient responses. Maintain equipment, follow laboratory and safety policies, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care.
