Job Summary:

The Information Technology (IT) Assistant helps maintain our current systems and assets, assists with upgrades and fixes, and provides other support as needed. The IT Assistant has reasonable knowledge of computer hardware and software, network maintenance, and practical IT knowledge to help with the day-to-day IT operations. The IT Assistant has the knowledge-experience to do data wiring installations and security camera installation in large areas.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Helps track and maintain hardware and software inventory, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, phones, alarms, surveillance cameras, etc.

• Assists with business-critical IT tasks and system improvements

• Works closely with IT Manager to ensure data backups are regularly maintained

• Installs, configures, and supports workstation software, hardware, printers, phones, etc.

• Installation of structured data wiring, antennas, and security cameras on large areas.

• Executes system and network administration, implementation, and testing

• Implements applications and software upgrades as well as performance troubleshooting

• Provides onsite technical support and training as and when needed

• Must travel (via personal vehicle) for up to 70% of working hours across various Indus Communities

Minimum Qualifications :

• Education : High School Diploma

• Experience : Minimum two (2) years of experience in IT support

• Experience and knowledge of windows operating systems, equipment and technologies

• License/Certification(s) : Valid Texas State Driver's License

• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :

  • English/Spanish fluency

  • Effective verbal communication and customer service skills

  • Strong computer skills and detail orientation
