Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for handling instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures. The role involves understanding surgical procedures to anticipate the surgeon's needs effectively. This position supports the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation process. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
• Assist the surgical team by anticipating the needs of the surgeon.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure all surgical tools are accounted for before, during, and after surgery.
• Support the operating room team to facilitate efficient surgical workflow.
• Comply with hospital policies and procedures related to surgical services.
• May be required to float to other units, departments, or patient care areas based on staffing and operational needs.

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Ability to handle surgical instruments and supplies proficiently.
• Understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
• Less than 1 year of experience acceptable.

• Previous experience in a surgical technologist role preferred but not mandatory.
• Flexibility to work in multiple units or departments as needed.

• Travelers who are first-time travelers are not accepted.
• Performance is monitored; failure to meet expectations may result in immediate contract termination.
• May be required to float to other units, departments, or patient care areas based on staffing and operational needs.

• Shift assignments and schedules will be determined based on operational needs.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
