LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Hiring Agency: Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as Logistics Manager for the Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) with responsibility for analyzing logistics process, practices and procedures across all the squadrons assigned. Key Responsibilities Provides advice and assistance to the squadron leadership on business processes and performance/efficiency of the squadron. Performs studies, and provides technical advice and assistance on development and implementation of readiness mission capabilities associated with: deployment and distribution, cargo and passenger movement, material management, equipment and vehicles, vehicle maintenance, warehousing, global fuels/cryogenics, plans, programs, resource agreement, policies and procedures. Represents the installation for wing/squadron logistics readiness issues at higher management-level meetings within the organization and at conferences with MAJCOM, HQ USAF, DOD, and other agencies. Participates in meetings, makes presentations, and prepares correspondence highlighting problems, alternatives, and proposed or final solutions.
