Overview VytlOne is currently recruiting for a Pharmacist to provide coverage at The Pharmacy at Thibodaux Regional. This is a unique opportunity to practice both Specialty and Retail pharmacy in a model that integrates the pharmacy into the care transition model. Responsibilities A successful candidate must demonstrate mastery of the following skills/traits: Attention to detail, multi-tasking, initiative to work independently as well as cooperatively on a high achieving team, ability to develop problem-based solutions when faced with unexpected challenges, availability to work any shift, an openness to and acceptance of constructive feedback, and a sincere desire for continuous professional growth. Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed. Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, if applicable. Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience. Current licenses in good standing to practice pharmacy in the state of Louisianna. Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care. A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork. Computer experience mandatory. Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently.
