Software Engineer Data Infrastructure

Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer Data Infrastructure with strong Python and data engineering fundamentals to design, build, and ship scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data infrastructure, data modeling, schema design, data lineage, and data permissions . This role is suited for an engineer who is comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, taking ownership of projects, and working independently with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship data ingestion and transformation pipelines .

• Develop scalable data infrastructure using Python and modern engineering practices.

• Apply strong data modeling principles to support reliable and scalable data systems.

• Design and manage data schemas, data lineage, and data permissions.

• Own engineering projects from design through implementation and delivery.

• Work independently on technical initiatives with minimal direction.

• Collaborate across an evolving technical environment and take responsibility for increasing project scope.

• Identify opportunities to improve data infrastructure, pipeline reliability, and scalability.

• Contribute to engineering best practices and technical decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• 1 6 years of professional software engineering experience , with a focus on data infrastructure and Python .

• Hands-on experience designing and shipping data ingestion and transformation pipelines .

• Strong understanding of data modeling fundamentals , including:

  • Schema Design

  • Data Lineage

  • Data Permissions

• Strong programming experience
