Project Specialist OpportunityHelp bring important projects to life! We are looking for a Project Specialist to join our team in Rapid City and support a variety of exciting DoD, federal government, construction, engineering, infrastructure, and environmental projects.This is more than a paperwork role. You will be part of the action - helping coordinate people, information, schedules, and resources to keep projects moving forward.What you'll be doing:Partner with Project Managers and project teams to support projects from planning and design through construction and closeoutKeep projects organized by tracking schedules, milestones, deliverables, action items, and important deadlinesWork with clients, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, engineers, and government stakeholders to keep communication flowingHelp prepare project status reports, presentations, meeting materials, correspondence, and other project deliverablesCoordinate project meetings, capture key decisions and action items, and help make sure follow-ups happenTrack RFIs, submittals, change requests, deliverables, and other project documentationAssist with monitoring project budgets, invoices, commitments, and other project financial informationMaintain accurate and well-organized project files and recordsHelp Project Managers identify potential schedule, coordination, or documentation issues before they become bigger problemsGather information, analyze project data, and help turn it into useful reports and updatesSupport project closeout and make sure the right documentation and deliverables are in placeAssist with proposals and other business development initiatives when neededLook for smarter, more efficient ways to organize information and support project deliveryThe projects you'll help support:Construction & Infrastructure – facility improvements, rehabilitation, construction management, and infrastructure projectsFederal & DoD Projects – projects supporting federal agencies, military installations, and critical government facilitiesEngineering Projects – working alongside engineering and technical teams to coordinate project activities and deliverablesEnvironmental Projects – supporting environmental compliance, remediation, and related technical projectsThe variety means there's always something new to learn and no two days have to look exactly the same.What makes you a great fit?A bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred02+ years of experience in project coordination, project administration, construction, engineering, environmental services, government contracting, or a related fieldStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA sharp eye for detail and a knack for keeping information organizedThe ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of deadlinesStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPointThe confidence to work independently and the teamwork skills to collaborate with a diverse group of professionalsA problem-solving mindset and the willingness to jump in and help wherever needed.Bonus points if you have:Experience working on DoD or federal government projectsConstruction, engineering, environmental, or infrastructure experienceFamiliarity with government contracting or federal project requirementsExperience with project management, scheduling, document control, or cost-control systemsCAPM, PMP, or another project management certificationWhy PSI?Because your work will matter!
