Qualifications: High School Diploma preferred. Possess a current Food Handlers Card. Ability to work with staff, students and the public. Strong math and communication skills. Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds. Willingness to try new ideas. Physically able to perform assigned duties. Good computer and money handling skills. Ability to complete required paperwork. Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Reports To: Child Nutrition Supervisor

Job Goals: To support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test. To serve the students and staff nutritious and attractive meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and warmth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Knows and follows nutritional guidelines. Supervises satellite server and student servers. Calls the kitchen with the food count. Pre-approves forms for free and reduced meals. Sets up and maintains accurate accounts of students' meals and completes required data entry on the computer. Prepares bank deposit for district secretary/treasurer. Balances cash to reconciliation sheet for both breakfast and lunch. Maintains accurate records and completes all required paperwork. Knows and follows health and sanitation procedures. Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality. Has regular and predictable attendance.

Other Duties and Responsibilities: Performs all other duties as assigned.

Terms of Employment: This position is scheduled for 5.75 hours per day during the school year. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 4 - $15.28 or $16.05 (with a bachelors degree or 5 years relevant experience) per hour. Benefits will be in accordance with Board policy. This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.

Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Child Nutrition Supervisor in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel. This position has been given an overall physical classification of medium duty.
