Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 38-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for adult patients aged 65 and older presenting with diagnoses including trauma, falls, fractures, and motor vehicle collisions
• Administer Heparin drips and all acute medications as ordered
• Implement and support hospital-acquired delirium prevention, early mobility, HAPI prevention, and falls prevention protocols
• Utilize specialty equipment including gait belts, geriatric chairs, and physical therapy equipment
• Facilitate effective family communication and involvement in patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Documented Medical Surgical / Telemetry experience required (checklist must be on file)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• No time-off requests will be considered during the contract period

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in geriatrics, ortho trauma, or trauma nursing
• Familiarity with hospital-acquired delirium prevention strategies and early mobility programs
• Background working with geriatric-specific equipment and care protocols
