Your future role at a glance Location: Nashville, TN Facility: Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Department: PACU Schedule: Days | Full- time How you'll make an impact in this role Clinical Excellence: Maintain rigorous aseptic sterile techniques in strict alignment with AORN and ASPAN standards to ensure optimal surgical outcomes and zero-percent infection rates. Acute Care Management: Expertly assess physical and psychological patient status, delivering targeted interventions and pain management strategies that improve recovery timelines. Proactive Coordination: Anticipate complex case-specific needs by synthesizing deep knowledge of pathophysiology and surgical procedures to streamline OR/PACU workflow. Discharge Strategy: Spearhead multidisciplinary discharge planning, coordinating with families and healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.
