The Role:Analyze and optimize high-performance memory subsystem designs for Cloud computing, machine intelligence acceleration, and immersive mobile processing. Propose solutions to enhance performance. Explore and analyze next-generation memory technologies and scalable interconnects.The Person:Do you seek the most sophisticated challenges in the computing industry? As a passionate performance architect on our design engineering team, you will propose and implement solutions to processor and system performance issues.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for micro-benchmarking, workload characterization, competitive analysis, bottleneck identification, and optimization.Develop tools and methodology for performance analysis of workloads.Preferred Experience:Experience with CPU, GPU, or computer system microarchitectureExperience with the development and usage of computer system performance modelsExperience with computer workload analysisStrong programming skills, including experience with C++ and Python (or similar)Academic Credentials:Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related fieldMasters or PhD with emphasis on Computer Architecture performance studies preferredLocation:Austin, TXThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.#LI-RL1Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
