About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN - Long Term Care Specialty: RN - Long Term Care Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (3 shifts per week) Experience: Recent experience with EPIC is required. License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required. Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required. Must-Have: AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification is required. Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops care plans that prescribe interventions to achieve desired outcomes. Implements care plans and coordinates care delivery to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining patient outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and their families as well as team members. Delivers health information directly to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. All associates must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. E-Verify participation is required. Total bed count for the unit is 59, with 51 subacute beds and 8 skilled nursing facility beds. The unit offers 7-day coverage. Documentation is managed via Cerner, transitioning to Epic soon. Pharmacy and phlebotomy services are available 24/7.
