Scientist I – Lipid Nanoparticles San Diego, United States | Posted on 03/25/2026 Job Duration:Long Term Contract(Possibility OfExtension) Pay Rate : $46/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Sick leave, 401K This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with new non-viral nucleic acid delivery tools for in vivo and ex vivo genome editing and gene therapy applications. This person will be engaged in the analysis of novel nanoparticle-based pharmaceuticals. Key Responsibilities Work at the direction of Analytical scientists to quantitate lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) encapsulating nucleic acids Analyze raw materials for LNP formulations Establish relationships between physiochemical characteristics of experimental nanoparticle formulations and their efficacy and safety Maintain detailed records of analytical data Interface directly with other functional teams Share responsibility for basic lab management activities (supply ordering, instrument calibration, maintaining schedules) Qualifications Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years’ experience or Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical sciences, bioengineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline. (An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.) Proficiency at formulating buffers is required. Practical experience using analytical methods such as RiboGreen, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), and Zeta potential measurement is strongly preferred. Prior experience with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is preferred. Experience and proficiency with other analytical techniques will be considered.
