Role: Residential Aide

Location: Downingtown, PA

Pay Rate: $18.50/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Residential Aides to support individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) and/or mental health conditions in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on assistance, promote independence, and ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
Provide emotional support, companionship, and behavioral support as needed
Monitor and document residents' behavior, progress, and any changes in condition
Support residents in following individualized care and behavioral plans
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment
Assist with medication reminders (as permitted by role and training)
Accompany residents to appointments or community outings
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and team members to ensure quality care

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or
mental health conditions required Experience as Direct Support Professional (DSP), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home
Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), or Caregiver
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and professional in challenging situations
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred Requirements:

Relevant certification (DSP, CNA, HHA, PCA) is a plus but not required
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
High school diploma or equivalent
