Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialty compounding pharmacy in Kennett Square, PA is seeking a skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacist for a 13-week contract-to-hire opportunity. This role focuses on preparing compounded sterile and non-sterile medications, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately compound sterile and non-sterile preparations following master formula worksheets.
- Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to maintain patient safety.
- Ensure compliance with USP and related guidelines for compounding practices.
- Perform cleaning and garbing procedures per company standards.
- Conduct precise calculations and maintain thorough documentation.
- Operate production and computerized equipment while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Utilize correct aseptic techniques and prepare work areas meticulously before production.
- Conduct quality control tests and inspections to verify compounded medication accuracy, purity, and potency.
- Stay current with new compounding techniques, formulations, and technologies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development relevant to compounding pharmacy.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
- Recent pharmacy experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in sterile compounding is essential.
- New graduates with sterile compounding knowledge are encouraged to apply.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday with shift options:• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM• 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (may be assigned)
