Position Details Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs Position Summary The Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs plays a critical role inadvancing alumni engagement strategy through reunion programming,communications, and regional outreach. This position supportssignature engagement events, and affinity-based initiatives whilestrengthening lifelong connections between alumni and TheUniversity of Tampa. The Assistant Director serves as arelationship manager, project lead, and strategic partner withinthe Office of Alumni Affairs, ensuring alumni experiences aremeaningful, well-executed, and aligned with institutionalpriorities. Primary Responsibilities Lead planning and execution of alumni reunions and specialevents. Support and execute key Alumni Weekend programs. Build alumni events in Raiser edge and trackparticipation. Support and execute regional alumni programming in prioritymarkets. Coordinate travel logistics, host committee engagement, eventcommunications, and on-site management. Partner with development colleagues to identify engagementopportunities with high-capacity alumni. Develop detailed run-of-show documents, timelines, eventbriefings, and post-event reports. Manage and advise the Student Alumni Council. Manage event budgets, vendor coordination, and logisticalplanning for alumni programming. Collaborate with Coordinator of Alumni Affairs on eventmarketing for both local and regional alumni events. Work evenings and weekends as needed for alumni events andtravel. undefined Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree from an accreditedinstitution. 2-4 years of experience in alumni relations, volunteermanagement, nonprofit engagement, event planning, or highereducation advancement. Strong project management and organizational skills. Exceptional interpersonal and written communicationabilities. Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with highattention to detail.
