Private Client Account Executive (PST)

Summary The Account Executive interacts with clients on a day‑to‑day basis while developing and maintaining relationships with both client and carrier representatives. The role includes preparing applications, specifications and marketing strategy for new business as well as renewals of assigned clients. The Account Executive may serve as lead consultant and primary point of contact, and may have revenue or client retention targets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Negotiate terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers. Work with the Claims Department on relevant claims for assigned clients. Ensure accurate information—updated exposures, driver data, reporting forms, signed endorsements— to avoid E&O claims. Maintain a diary (follow‑up system) to confirm policies, endorsements and related information are received and complied with. Supervise or direct the daily activities of Coordinators and Account Managers, where applicable. Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients through regular communication and visits, keeping clients apprised of industry trends and regulatory issues. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent written communication skills; clear, accurate, and adaptable writing, with strong editing and presentation of numeric data. Confident in making sound independent decisions. Effective interaction with a variety of personalities and professional contexts. Strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee a team. Read, analyze, and reconcile financial reports accurately. Technical expertise coupled with analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Maintain composure, courtesy, and professionalism in all situations. Strong attention to detail, decision‑making and problem‑resolution capabilities. Education and Experience BA/BS preferred. Typically more than five years of industry and product‑line experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registration P&C Insurance License required. CIC, CPCU or other P&C designation preferred. The base salary range is $65,000 – $90,000, determined by experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level, scope of the position, and geographic location. The base salary offered will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis, and the position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives.
