Job Description and Duties

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).

Newly hired State employees may be placed at the minimum of the salary range. Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employee may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.

** Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month. Under the general supervision of the Procurement Services Officer II (PSOII), the Warehouse Manager I (WM I) has the responsibility to plan: direct; staff; organize; monitor the budget expenditures for maintenance stock, clothing, and property; operate the storekeeping function, including the Clothing, Maintenance, Recycle and Salvage Program (RASP), property warehouse functions; and directly oversee the duties of (2) Heavy Truck Drivers (HTD), (1)Maintenance Warehouse Materials and Stores Supervisor I (M&SSI), (1) Office Technician Typing (OT), and (1) Materials and Stores Supervisor II (M&SSII) . Working Conditions

Folsom State Prison is located approximately 30 miles east of downtown Sacramento and just minutes from old town Folsom.

The grounds of the prison are surrounded by beautiful landscaping and friendly wild animals (deer, squirrels, turkeys, geese, etc.)
