PM Line Cook – Le Colonial Position Overview
Le Colonial is seeking a dedicated and experienced PM Line Cook to join our evening culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to the restaurant's recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. This position plays a vital role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience through consistent food quality, efficient execution, and teamwork.
We are looking for a culinary professional who takes pride in food preparation, presentation, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and fellow kitchen team members to deliver outstanding service during dinner operations.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and stock assigned stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies for service.
Prepare food items according to recipes and chef specifications, including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, and preparing sauces.
Cook and plate menu items accurately, efficiently, and consistently during service.
Follow instructions from the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen leadership team.
Ensure all food is prepared and served according to Le Colonial's quality and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas throughout the shift.
Properly store, label, and rotate food products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
Monitor product freshness and remove outdated products according to restaurant guidelines.
Assist with inventory management and notify supervisors of product shortages.
Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely execution of service.
Support closing duties, including station breakdown, cleaning, and preparation for the following day.
Maintain a positive, professional attitude with coworkers and guests.
Previous experience as a Line Cook, Restaurant Cook, Prep Cook, or similar culinary position required.
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, kitchen equipment, and sanitation standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
Commitment to impeccable food presentation and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
Asian culinary experience or background preferred.
Food Safety Certification preferred; Food Handler Certification required.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
