Job Title Patient Registration Specialist (SmartMED Drive-Thru) Location 612 Holcomb Bridge Rd. Roswell, GA 30076 Schedule March - October: Monday-Friday, 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM November - February: Monday-Friday, 8:45 AM - 5:30 PM, Saturdays 9AM - 12PM Overview We are seeking a friendly, efficient, and detail-oriented Patient Registration Specialist to join our drive-thru urgent care team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in setting the tone for the patient’s experience. This is a year-round position where significant portions of time are spent outdoors . This position requires someone who can maintain a cheerful and professional demeanor in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities Greet patients warmly as they arrive in the drive-thru lane Accurately collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information into the Athena EMR Select the correct insurance package based on the patient’s health insurance plan Verify insurance coverage and determine applicable fees Collect payments efficiently and securely Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members Provide support in other operational areas during downtime Maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance at all times Required Qualifications Experience with identifying and selecting health insurance plans and correctly entering them into EMR Outstanding customer service and communication skills Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying temperatures Team player mindset with flexibility to assist in multiple areas Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with Athena EMR Background in healthcare, urgent care, or medical front office work Compensation First 6 months will be paid as a 1099 with the ability to move to a W-2, if both parties agree that there is a career fit. 1099 compensation ranges from $24-$30 per hour based on experience.
