Registered Nurse (RN)The Registered Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and their families across various age groups, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults. This role emphasizes independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions as outlined in the standards and competencies for the assigned service area.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute Standards of Nursing Practice, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.Develop and revise patient care plans, ensuring coordination among disciplines and delegation of activities to other care providers as appropriate.Engage in shared accountability and decision-making regarding nursing practices.Participate in practice improvement and environmental enhancements to promote exceptional patient care.May be required to float to other Intensive Care Units (ICUs) and medical-surgical units based on staffing needs.QualificationsMinimum of 1 year of nursing experience.Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.Preferred experience with fresh open heart surgery patients.Preferred ability to interpret cardiac rhythms.Preferred experience with Impella and balloon pumps.Experience with adult and geriatric populations is required.Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system is required.Work ScheduleThis position involves rotating day and night shifts with a 36-hour guarantee and requires availability every weekend.
