Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Job Overview This position is responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating injuries, diseases, and disabilities using occupational therapy procedures and modalities in accordance with standard occupational therapy practices. The role includes consulting, educating, and training patients, families, caregivers, and collaborating with care teams to deliver quality, patient‑centered care in an outpatient pediatrics setting. Responsibilities Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients. Provide skilled occupational therapy services in an outpatient setting, staying updated on standard practices. Perform evaluations and treatments in accordance with professional standards (AOTA). Consider diagnosis, history, and physician referrals to develop goals. Maintain thorough, timely patient records and complete accurate billing in compliance with regulations. Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Supervise assistants, aides, office staff, and students to ensure high‑quality care. Operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and provide patient education. Minimum Qualifications Current Occupational Therapist license in the applicable state(s). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers. Basic computer skills. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to drive with a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Bilingual in English and Spanish.
