Junior Data Scientist

JUNIOR DATA SCIENTIST We’re hiring! We are looking for a junior Data Scientist to join our growing team based in Amsterdam. Human Data Associates is a specialised start-up with extensive in-house expertise. As a Data Scientist at HDA, your key responsibility is to use machine learning techniques to automate advanced marketing insights. Responsibilities In this role you will work closely with an experienced team to help you learn and develop new skills such as: Interrogate large and complex behavioural data sets that do not fit into the memory of a single machine Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques Develop statistical models for advanced marketing insights and bring them in production Assist with the design and hands‑on rollout of prototype systems for implementation Expand choice of analytical techniques used Develop data acquisition tooling in Java, scripts etc We Get Excited About Candidates Who Have A relevant Master or PhD in subjects ranging from computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematics, astrophysics, to cognitive neuroscience 0-3 years professional experience Strong skills in statistics, probability, and/or machine learning Fluency in languages such as R, Python, C++ and/or Java Experience with relational databases / SQL Experience using EMR, Spark, Flink, H2O, TensorFlow and/or other non-relational DBs or ML platforms Good skills in data visualization (big plus) Good skills in data visualization (big plus) An eye for detail, creative and ability to take end-to-end responsibility Self-learning attitude and motivated by exploring new technologies Great communication skills An innate curiosity and bias to action The ability to identify what’s important, and what’s not; simple is sometimes best What We Offer Challenging full time job in a young team of entrepreneurs and data-lovers An informal environment where talent and output is valued over job title or years of experience Working closely with some of the major brands around, seeing first hand impact of your work Competitive salary and bonus Free avocados and all the other start-up perks About Human Data Associates We are a one-stop shop in online marketing intelligence leveraging big data analytics.
