As an MRI Technologist , you'll perform high-quality MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with radiologists and providers to deliver exceptional diagnostic care. Candidates interested in expanding their skills may have opportunities for CT cross-training . Key Responsibilities Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and imaging protocols Conduct MRI safety screenings and verify patient identity Start IVs and administer contrast when appropriate Position patients and produce high-quality diagnostic images Educate patients and ensure a comfortable imaging experience Follow MRI safety standards, HIPAA requirements, and departmental procedures Review imaging orders and communicate with providers when clarification is needed Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Current South Carolina state license (SCRQSA) ARRT Certification Strong communication and patient care skills Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related imaging field 1+ years of MRI Technologist experience Interest in CT cross-training Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
