Associate Attorney – Insurance Defense (3–5 Years Experience) About the Opportunity A well-established and growing San Antonio law firm with a strong reputation in insurance defense litigation is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience. Position Overview The successful candidate will handle a variety of insurance defense matters, working closely with experienced partners and receiving mentorship and support for career development. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking to build a long-term career with a respected local firm. Base Salary: $140,000–$165,000 (depending on experience). Bonus: 30% of additional revenue generated above target. Billable Hours: 1,920 annually. Hybrid Schedule: Year 1 – in-office 5 days per week for onboarding and mentorship. After Year 1 – hybrid flexibility (1–3 remote days per week). Amenities: On-site gym, excellent parking, and a modern office located on the Riverwalk. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence. Conduct depositions, hearings, and court appearances. Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel. Meet annual billable hour goals while maintaining high-quality work. Requirements J.D. from an accredited law school. 3–5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
