Occupational Therapist, PRN

Position Summary: Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans using therapeutic, educational, vocational, and recreational activities to help patients achieve their highest level of independence and function. Collaborate closely with physicians, families, and the healthcare team to establish meaningful goals and support each patient's progress.

Education: Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Eligible for license or current license from the State of Oregon. Current valid Oregon driver's license required. Current CPR certification required.

Job Knowledge: Must have a current knowledge of Occupational Therapy as related to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures, general medicine, surgical and mental health concepts. Understands the principles of team approach and recognizes capabilities and limitations of other team members. Must possess a positive attitude and utilize excellent communication skills. Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.

Skills: Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening, and sending e-mail messages

Successful completion of 500-hour probationary period. Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer. If claiming veteran's preference, you must submit a DD214, Certificate of Release from Active Duty, which shows dates of service and discharge under honorable conditions. If currently on active-duty you must submit a certification of expected discharge or release from active-duty service under honorable conditions not later than 120 days after the date the certification is submitted. Veteran's preference must be verified prior to appointment. Without this documentation, you will not receive veteran's preference and your application will be evaluated based on the material(s) submitted. If claiming 10-point veteran's preference you must provide the DD214 or certification requirements (see above bullet), plus the proof of entitlement of this. Failure to submit these documents could result in the determination that there is insufficient documentation to support your claim for 10-point preference.
