About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical experience required License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS required, not expiring within 30 days of start Must-Have: - EPIC experience required - Ability to float within scope of care/practice Description: Orientation and training will be provided. This position requires a nurse with experience in orthopedic diagnoses with medical overflow. The nurse will float to a sister facility as needed. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:5-6. Must have skills in blood product administration, heparin, isolation precautions, and use of rapid response teams. Experience in orthopedic trauma and total joint replacements is essential. No titrating drips except for heparin will be managed in this unit. Daily census is approximately 40 patients with care for adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support will include various teams such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
