Sr. Medical Science Liaison, NMOSD & gMG-Rare Disease - CO & UT

Amgen seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison to build and maintain relationships with clinical experts and key stakeholders in Colorado and Utah. The role involves communicating scientific and medical information about rare disease therapies, managing territory activities, and supporting clinical development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, and managed care decision makers
• Communicate scientific, medical, and health economic information about products to healthcare professionals and internal teams
• Identify and train potential speakers for sponsored external speaker programs
• Monitor competitive landscape and emerging trends in rare disease therapeutics; report findings to leadership
• Support external clinical research collaborations and investigator-initiated trials in conjunction with medical affairs teams

Requirements

• Doctorate degree with 2+ years Medical Affairs experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years, or Bachelor's degree with 8+ years
• Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication and networking abilities
• Willingness to travel up to 60% for territory management and conferences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new business applications
• Preferred: PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, or other doctoral degree in relevant field
• Preferred: 2+ years experience as medical science liaison in biotech or pharmaceutical company
