Rehabilitation Clerk - HIMG Physical Therapy (Full Time)- 7353 #15122 Job Description St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full time Rehab Clerk at our HIMG PT office. The Rehabilitation Clerk reports to the Department Leader or designee, concerning any secretarial work or patient flow issues. Performs routine secretarial duties such as answering the phone, daily charges, handling of all patient charts, typing outgoing correspondence, monthly statistics and reports and supply requisitions. The great majority of work in this position is greeting customers, registering patients, scheduling appointments and assisting in the flow of communication from referring physicians, therapists, payer sources and the patients. Requirements Hospital experience is preferred, but not necessary. Prior experience as an office manager, registration clerk or work in a medical setting is preferred. Must be able to type at least 45 w.p.m., have a basic knowledge of medical terminology, have a pleasing personality suitable to meeting the public on a regular basis, have the ability to communicate well and cooperate with patients and employees, have good physical and emotional health. Must be proficient in use of computer spreadsheets and word processing. High school graduate or equivalent.
