Medical Center Radiologists (MCR) is the largest radiology practice in southeastern Virginia, providing radiology services to the Hampton Roads region for over 65 years. MCR has 90+ board-certified radiologists and is Virginia's only hybrid academic-private practice. MCR is a physician-owned private practice that also manages the radiology residency program and imaging fellowships for Eastern Virginia Medical School - Old Dominion University (EVMS-ODU). A new interventional radiology residency program is being organized currently for launch in 2026. About the Position MCR is seeking a fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist to join our 8 fellowship-trained IRs and 13 dedicated IR PAs in a robust clinical IR practice. We provide all aspects of interventional radiology out of dedicated and modern departments. The IRs practice 85-90% in dedicated interventional radiology assignments. MCR is a hybrid private practice that manages the radiology residency program for EVMS-ODU. Teaching opportunities are available for those interested. Experienced IRs and current fellows are encouraged to apply. The greater population of the area exceeds 1 million people. Virginia Beach is mostly suburban in character, with Norfolk a more urban area. Williamsburg is a historic town, originally founded in 1632 and has a small college town feel thanks to The College of William and Mary. All locations offer numerous opportunities for dining, shopping, and outdoor activities, including golf and boating.
