Digital Assets Vendor and Fiduciary Oversight Director (AVP) (Dallas)

The Director will lead the Digital Assets Vendor and Fiduciary Oversight team, overseeing daily operations, vendor coordination, and governance for digital asset workflows. This role ensures quality assurance over vendor service level agreements, independent reconciliations, and escalations while driving strategic initiatives, risk management, and talent development.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementSupervise a team of associates and supervisors; conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.Attract, retain, and develop talent aligned with WM Operations leadership principles.Operational OversightDirect daily digital assets oversight support activities, including lifecycle management, reconciliations, and exception resolution.Ensure client service escalations are resolved promptly and documented.Vendor & Stakeholder CoordinationAct as primary liaison with vendors and internal partners (Risk, Technology, Finance) for service level oversight, data integrity and issue resolution.Oversee governance and control frameworks, ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory standards.Risk & ControlImplement robust oversight of operational controls and escalation protocols.Maintain readiness for BCP events and confirm operational continuity across regions.Strategic InitiativesDrive process improvement, automation, and integration projects to enhance efficiency and scalability.Contribute to roadmap planning for Digital Asset operations and vendor enhancements.PreferredExperience with crypto or digital asset operations, reconciliations, and vendor management.Familiarity with case management and operational reporting tools.Background in WM Operations governance and risk frameworks.RequiredMinimum 4–6 years in governance, oversight or operations leadership within financial services.Proven ability to manage high-performing teams and complex operational environments.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence across internal and external partners.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
