Intermedia System Administrator (Kubernetes/Cloud Infrastructure)Full Time, Ft. Meade, MD OR San Antonio, TXSecret Clearance with TS/SCI eligibility  Referral bonus: $500Overview:Semper Valens is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator with strong Kubernetes experience to help design, operate, and support our production environment. This role bridges traditional systems administration functions and modern cloud-native operations, ensuring systems reliability, scalability, and security across critical mission platforms. You will work closely with developers, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to support the adoption of Kubernetes clusters, automating infrastructure, and maintain high-availability/high-stability environments. Required Skills/Qualifications:10 years of IT systems administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms. With two years proficient understanding of maintenance (patching, STIG, and upgrade processes) on AWS cloud infrastructureIAT-Level-II CertifiedDemonstrated experience and/or training in system administration and development best practices in AWSDemonstrated experience in managing and adopting Kubernetes in production environmentsAbility to deploy, manage, and support Kubernetes clustersExperience operating and maintaining containerized workloads using Docker and KubernetesExperience managing Kubernetes resources including namespaces, deployments, services, ingress, and storageExperience with container technologies (Docker)Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and LinuxDemonstratable experience with Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Vault, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and KustomizeRequired Certifications:IAT Level II – Security+ & CISSPDesired Qualifications:AWS Solutions Architect certificationAWS SysOps Administrator certificationRed Hat certification5 years' experience in CI/CD SW developmentKubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or similar) About Semper Valens Solutions:Semper Valens Solutions, Inc.
