Target Security Specialist

Job Summary Target Security Specialist protects guests, merchandise, and the store environment, responding to incidents and maintaining a safe shopping experience. Responsibilities Use intelligence‑led tactics to keep team members and guests safe. Respond to crises, safety events, and crowd management. De‑escalate situations and support guests and peers. Operate Target’s video surveillance system. Document incidents promptly in case‑management systems. Assist with merchandise theft recovery and apprehension support. Perform merchandise receipt checks to prevent theft and shortages. Maintain safe and secure standards throughout the store. Follow all safety policies, report hazards, and work safely at all times. Other duties as business needs require. Qualifications At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of Target’s security protocols and equipment. Strong communication skills and ability to use multi‑frequency devices. Capacity to work independently and with a team. Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and remain focused in a fast‑paced environment. Physical ability to climb ladders, lift up to 40 lbs, and remain mobile during shifts. Flexible schedule to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times. Compliance with all state or local licensing and legal requirements.
