Licensed Practical Nurse LpnStatus: Full TimeLocation: Avamere Court at Keizer: 5210 River Rd North, Keizer OregonJob SummaryLicensed Practical Nurse provides basic nursing care, including vital signs, medication administration, wound care, and assisting residents with daily activities, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)Essential Duties and Job ResponsibilitiesBasic Nursing Care:Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs like temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respirations.Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by a physician, following facility protocols and under the supervision of an RN.Wound Care: Perform wound care, including changing dressings and monitoring for signs of infection.Hygiene and Mobility: Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and mobility.Nutrition and Hydration: Ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration, assisting with feeding if necessary.Patient Monitoring:Patient History: Record a patient's history and current condition.Observation: Observe and document changes in a resident's condition, reporting any concerns to the RN.Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.Collaboration and Supervision:RN Supervision: Work under the supervision of an RN, following their guidance and instructions.CNA Supervision: Supervise certified nursing assistants (CNAs) in providing basic nursing care.Teamwork: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive comprehensive care.Other Duties:Patient Safety: Maintain a safe environment for residents, following infection control protocols and other safety guidelines.Documentation: Accurately document all care provided, including medications administered, vital signs, and any observations.Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families.
