The successful candidate will be responsible for leading tax planning in the context of fund formations, restructurings, and the establishment of new investment vehicles. This role involves providing expert advice on a range of tax matters related to deal structuring, acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, and exits. The Chief Tax Officer will also be tasked with optimizing tax efficiency across both domestic and international structures, including the management of blocker entities and co-invest vehicles. Additionally, the role includes overseeing all tax filings for various entities, managing investor tax reporting, and ensuring compliance with ever-evolving tax regulations that impact private equity funds. Applicants for the Chief Tax Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in private equity or hedge fund tax, with a background either in a Big 4 Firm or in-house at a fund. A CPA is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax issues specific to the private equity industry and be adept at handling complex tax matters. The role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage and lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
