Role Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standard assessments and clinical observations.
- Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate targets as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that emphasize language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
- Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to develop integrated care approaches.
- Engage in patient and family educational programs to enhance progress beyond clinical appointments.
- Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring consistent care throughout the recovery journey.
- Maintain up-to-date and precise documentation following state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Commit to continual learning and peer engagement to stay abreast of innovations and best practices in the field.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successfully completed a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
Certifications
- Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA highly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
