Job Description

Title: Surgical Technologist

Schedule: Days 3x12s

Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 32

Requirements:

Licensed as a Surgical Technologist in the state required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association.

Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Assist during surgical procedures by maintaining the integrity of the sterile surgical field and providing instrumentation as needed.

Ensure that all surgical items have proper packaging, processing, and expiration dates.

Monitor the sterile field and initiate corrective actions as necessary.

Contribute to patient transport, room turnovers, and preparation.

Maintain professionalism and stay updated with new technologies and procedures.

Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization.

Compliance / Notes:

Must be HIPAA compliant.

Safety management program in place for healthcare environment hazards.
