Job OpportunityJoin a dynamic healthcare team providing comprehensive nursing care in a six-bed Medical Observation and Surgical Unit (MOSU). This facility cares for a variety of post-surgical patients, including those recovering from cardiac catheterizations, respiratory failure, sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), acute kidney injury (AKI), and unstable arrhythmias.Shift DetailsNight shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM with on-call responsibilities12-hour shiftsPatient Care Ratios:Critical Care: 2:1Step Down: 4:1Standard: 6:1Key ResponsibilitiesInitiate, titrate, and manage medications including vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedatives.Manage ventilator settings and care for patients requiring mechanical ventilation.Conduct hemodynamic monitoring, telemetry monitoring, and interpretation of results.Oversee sepsis management protocols.Perform central line, arterial line, and chest tube management procedures.Administer blood products as required.Equipment UtilizedMedication infusion pumpsRapid infuser devicesBedside cardiac monitorsMechanical ventilatorsBiPAP/CPAP systemsHigh-flow nasal cannulasBladder scannersAdditional InformationFlu vaccination is mandatory without exceptions.A travel radius restriction of 100 miles applies for applicants.No more than three days off may be requested over a 13-week contract.The facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts during a 13-week assignment; guaranteed hours will not apply.LocationCity, State: [Insert City, State Here]We invite qualified candidates to apply and join our dedicated nursing team, making a difference in the lives of patients in a critical care setting.
