Inventory Accounting Manager

Role Description The Inventory Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX. This position is responsible for overseeing all inventory-related accounting activities, including monitoring inventory transactions, reconciling inventory accounts, and ensuring accurate valuation of inventory across locations. The role involves preparing and reviewing inventory reports, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and collaborating with operations, finance, and supply chain teams to resolve discrepancies and optimize inventory controls. The manager will design and maintain policies and procedures related to inventory accounting, assist with audits, and provide analysis to support decision‑making and cost management. This role also includes mentoring team members and driving process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal and external requirements. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in inventory accounting, cost accounting, and general ledger management, including reconciliation and variance analysis. Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software; strong proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools. Solid understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks, with proven ability to support audits and maintain compliant processes. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear recommendations. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross‑functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
