PositionSummary ProvideselectricalengineeringsupportforDSI'sHVACandplumbingmechanicalprojects,focusedonthepower,controls,andequipment-connectionneedsofmechanicalsystems.Coordinatescloselywithmechanicalengineers,controlsengineers,anddesignerstoensureelectricalscopeformechanicalequipmentisproperlydesigned,documented,andcoordinatedwithothertrades.ThisisasupportroletoDSI'scoremechanicalscope—notastand-aloneelectricaldesignpractice. KeyResponsibilities Designpowerdistribution,disconnects,andcontrolwiringassociatedwithHVACandplumbingmechanicalequipment(chillers,boilers,AHUs,pumps,VFDs,etc.) Coordinateelectricalequipmentconnectionsandloadrequirementswithmechanicalengineersandcontrolsengineers Reviewelectricalcontractordrawingsandsubmittalsforcoordinationwithmechanicalequipmentrequirements Performelectricalloadcalculationsandequipmentsizingformechanicalsystempowerneeds Supportsitevisitsandfieldcoordinationtoverifyelectricalconnectionsmatchmechanicalequipmentrequirements ReviewandrespondtoRFIsrelatedtoelectrical-mechanicalcoordinationduringconstruction Ensureelectricalscopetiedtomechanicalsystemscomplieswithapplicablecodes(NECandlocalamendments) RequiredQualification s Bachelor'sdegreeinelectricalengineeringorrelatedfield 4–8years'experienceinelectricaldesign,ideallywithexposuretomechanical/HVACequipmentcoordination Workingknowledgeofpowerdistribution,motorcontrols,andVFDapplicationsastheyrelatetomechanicalequipment Abilitytoreadandinterpretmechanicalandelectricalconstructiondocuments Strongcoordinationandcommunicationskillsforworkingacrossmechanical,controls,andelectricaltrades PreferredQualifications PElicenseorEIT Experiencewithmechanicalcontractorordesign-buildprojectdelivery FamiliaritywithRevitMEPorsimilarBIMcoordinationtools BenefitsHighlights Competitivebasesalarycommensuratewithexperience 401(k)planwithcompanymatch Comprehensivemedical,dental,andvisioncoverage Paidholidays,vacation,andpersonaltime Training,professionaldevelopment,andsupportforlicensure/professionalassociationdues Performance-basedbonusopportunity PIe2312794daa3-37344-41304719
