Job DescriptionLocated in a tight-knit community in Kings County, Adventist Health Hanford has been serving the Central Valley since 1965. Within an hour's travel time, Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks can be enjoyed.Job Summary:Utilizes computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patient's internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues. Provides clinical care efficiently and effectively using a high level of technical and organizational skills as well as critical thinking ability.Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience:Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: PreferredThree years' CT technologist experience: PreferredLicenses/Certifications:Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): RequiredRadiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CAAdvanced certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CABasic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: RequiredFluoroscopy license: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipmentVenipuncture certification: Required in CA, if employees performs venipuncture to administer contrast materialsEssential Functions:Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.Ensures department, equipment and staffing meet requirements set forth by any accreditation maintained by facility (JCAHO, ACR, State Licensures, etc.). Leads and is responsible for the process of accreditation with these governing bodies for the specific modality.Plans the daily patient workload to accommodate patients.
