Responsible for coordinating with Supplier Quality Engineering Technical and Feasibility reviews as well as Claim handling, Supplier Quality Performance, Audits and Surveillance and Scorecards / Performance Agreements. Monitors and drives technical process improvements at suppliers to make sure suppliers meet TE technology requirements. Ownership for The STE supports cross functional activities (in case external suppliers are involved) & support function to assess technical capability of new suppliers.Job RequirementsUses standard procedures (e.g., ISO family of standards), quality audits/review, Taguchi methods, process reengineering, etc.Communicate quality concerns to suppliers (initiate Techs complaint), SQ environment (e.g. SQE) and plantRequires knowledge of industry and governmental regulations affecting product qualitySetup containment actionsConfirm certified stockValidates and follows the quality assurance contracts with suppliers, vendors, and/or partners.Support the setup and the improvement of the quality inspection plansTrack, review and close supplier 8DsGenerate read across and deploy lessons learned to prevent reoccurrencePerform laboratory goods in measurement (as the specific plant setup defines it for SQ)Update DMR (Dynamic modification rule – SAP) based on part quality historyAssure that supplier parts meet TE customer requirementsManage PPAP approvals related to material received at plantCoordinate PV testing on product changes from Supply baseAlign Supplier visits to operations plants driving improvement and communicationVisit Focus Suppliers impacting manufacturing plantManage Supplier Change Management to comply with TE, customer, and regulatory requirementsSupport vendor MRB dispositionsWhat your background should look likeBachelor’s degree in technical field preferredQuality Engineer certification preferred3 years professional experience in manufacturing quality environment or equalSupplier Quality experience preferred Experienced with problem solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, PDCA, DEMAIC,…)Communication skills with various levels of the organizationTechnical/Business writing skillsEnglish on business level is a must, bilingual language beneficialSpecial advantage would be to show- Measurement and dimensional analyses; ability to read technical drawings- Leadership skills- Advanced problem-solving capabilities (Black Belt, Shainin)- Certified SAP Quality key user (trainer)CompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, TeamworkCOMPENSATION• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $81,800–$122,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith.
